I didn't understand this when ROTT came out and I don't understand it now.
How on earth can you make a judgement on music after only hearing it for one day?
Yet seemingly, so many people can.
I agree. I have not answered the poll of where it ranks because I haven't had time to let it settle in and have the newness wear off.
When I first heard Your Arsenal I thought that You're Gonna Need was a great song and a couple others were good but for the most part it was pretty weak.
Looking back Your Arsenal is a good album but it has two flaws for my taste. Spencer is a terrible drummer. It's just a bunch of 4/4 beats with little to no fills and overall the album just isn't mastered in a way that it really projects. I want to be able to turn it up real loud and make my ears bleed blood of pleasure... but alas.. it just can't be done.
