New Morrissey interview in Rookie

Yeah, the world's ills would vanish if guys were all catty, limpwristed queens.

Unfortunately, the species is dependent on heterosexuals to survive.

Shucks.

Re:

no I going to hang about here and repeatedly point out your failings. Then I going to buy this place as i understand the site can be controlled for the right amount of cash and then I'll have you fired.

good day

smiler is officially publicly lost his mind.

I love Morrisse; he is a brilliant, profound, prolific writer, but these brash, black and white statements really shake his credibility, and more importantly, they often come back to bite him in the ass. Yes, men are historically more violent because they have been raised that way, just as women are traditionally raised to be more gentle and accommodating. I think that it is less of an innate connection to sexuality and more of a societal influence. I am a middle-aged heterosexual female vegan and I desperately want to beat the shit out of almost everyone that I meet. This has less to do with gender and more to do with personality and horrible life experiences; possibly, the same is true for Morrissey. For some people, that one traumatic experience freezes you in time, stifles your emotional development, and changes you for the rest of your life. I think this might be the case for M, which is why I tend to forgive him for all of his slightly disconcerting behavior. I love and worship the man, but sometimes I just want to turn him over my knee and give him a good spanking; not that I think corporal punishment is a viable method of behavioral modification, no, I just think that Morrissey has a cute ass and I want to touch it!!

WOW 4TH TIME FOR THIS ONE....

UM...

He is bisexual with heterosexual tendencies...

Please see the myriad of random examples:

Q: You're taken for an aesthete. Are you never attracted by plastic beauty? Women’s physiques?

M: I've had a quite late development on this level. Now if I see a beautiful woman I can be attracted like any man. But I find it very embarrassing. It's the same whether it's an attraction to a man or a woman. Nothing seems to go well with me. The concept of attraction doesn't work. Human relations don't work... If I see someone I find attractive, then I flee in the other direction. I'd be absolutely unable to go and talk to this person. What's the use of going and saying that I find this person attractive? It could never go well between us. The few times when I tried to build relationships - when I was younger - they never worked out for very long. So I gave up

Oh...by the way...my dad's best friend is the keyboard player for Morrissey. And Morrissey is bisexual for sure. He has attraction for the drummer Matt Chamberlain for sure. Take it for what its worth...believe me or not....

I'm very much in agreement here.
He is def bi sexual. Just like his song: 'I can have both'

Mmm, I quite like that Rookie website!. A rather uninteresting interivew and there is nothing more tedious than discussing someones sexuality. Morrissey and the same as everyone else does not have to disclose his sexuality to all. I still believe that some people can and should keep a degree of privacy about their lives.

In October 2011 the actor who played Jim McDonald on Corry said on Radio Five Live that Morrissey was living with a male session musician. A trumpeter apparently. The instrument.

I heard he plays the rusty trombone...

What a complete moron. If someone else prominent was to cast such aspersions on homosexuals, Morrissey would undoubtedly rail against their prejudice, but he makes no hesitation in labeling heterosexuals as warmongers. It's impossible to take him at all seriously anymore and the more he speaks the less I can bear to listen to his music- I certainly have no more time for the relatively drab post-90's material. It's sad.

PS. Can we all officially accept that he has 'outed' himself, then? Pretty sure he doesn't put himself in the category of "heterosexual men who love killing other men"!

I think this one pretty much puts it to bed:

Morrissey: I'd like people to be aware of the pangs of childbirth, and that every male is not necessarily a man. But perhaps these are topics for another time.

Bob's your uncle

The Wrightstuff on channel 5 made fun of Morrissey and his statement about homosexuals not being warmongers. Called him "nuts" and "He probably as something to sell".

Lowry Turner added "Ah bless" .

Morrissey said:
War, I thought, was the most negative aspect of male heterosexuality. If more men were homosexual, there would be no wars, because homosexual men would never kill other men, whereas heterosexual men love killing other men. They even get medals for it. Women don’t go to war to kill other women. Wars and armies and nuclear weapons are essentially heterosexual hobbies.

I have to say, I do get where he's coming from here. There's definitely an unattractive aggressive side to male heterosexuality that people really ought to resist the temptation to glamourise. Y'know, boxers, skinheads, East-end gangsters, that sort of thing.

Zepfan1 said:
(Spew-up of ancient Morrissey quotes.)

Every gay man on the planet has some sort of history of pretending to be sexually attracted to women.

I get the "not every male is a man" in that context but not the pangs of childbirth. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Morrissey's devolved into a bitter old queen.

Consider yourself enlightened.
