Moz's most romantic lyrics/lines/words/meanings

"You say that the day just never arrives and it's never seemed so far away, still i know it's gonna happen sooooommmeeeedayyy to you"

"Send me the pillow - the one that you dream on. And i'll send you mine"

"Send me the pillow - the one that you dream on. And i'll send you mine"

So THAT'S what he says after those lines! I always wondered. Thank you!

I listened carefully, and it's right. :) And it is a very nice line, although Morrissey didn't write it. :(

Is it from a film or something or a novel?

Another song, a 60s one by someone I can't remember. I think his first name was Sammy. Either that or Johnny.

Send me the pillow that you dream on.
Don't you know that I still care for you?
Send me the pillow that you dream on,
So darling, I can dream on it, too.

A song called "send me the pillow that you dream on" by Hank Locklin.

This wee young fellow also had a hit with the song in the 1960's. Good voice!

See? It was summun called Johnny I was thinking of after all! :D

I love My Love Life, too.

'I know you love one person so,
Why can't you love two?' :tears: So heartbreaking!

let me kiss you , of course

There's a place in the sun
For anyone who has the will to chase one..AND I
I think I've found mine
Yes, I do believe I have found mine

So, close your eyes and think of someone you physically admire
And let me kiss you, let me kiss you

One of my personal favourite tracks. Think the closing line "when you open your eyes and see someone you despise, but my heart is open to you" is a perfect closing to the song and sort of sums up a relationship. You may hate your other half at times, but deep down you still love them no matter what...

(sniff)

"Come Back To Camden"

There is something I wanted to tell you
it's so funny you'll kill yourself laughing
but then I, I look around
and I remember that I am alone / alone / forevermore

The tile yard, all along the railings
up a discoloured dark brown staircase

here you'll find / despair and I
calling to you with what's left of my heart, my heart / forevermore

Drinking tea with the taste of the Thames
sullenly on a chair on the pavement
here you'll find / my thoughts and I
and here is the very last plea from my heart, my heart / forevermore

Where taxi drivers never stop talking
under slate-grey Victorian sky
here you'll find / despair and I

and here I am every last inch of me's yours / yours
forevermore

Your leg came to rest against mine
Then you lounged with knees up and apart
and me and my heart
we knew / we just knew
forevermore

Where taxi drivers never stop talking
under slate-grey Victorian sky
here you'll find / my heart and I

and still we say "come back / come back
to Camden / and I'll be good"

I'll be good
I'll be good
I'll be good

hmm nobody mentioning trhis song? i found this highly romatic -when he sings about a love gone a long time ago....

the beautiful image of watching the loved one
Your leg came to rest against mine
and get closer
Then you lounged with knees up and apart

and me and my heart
we knew / we just knew
forevermore

And

mabye it my perv sense of romatic ;) but i found this line highly romatic:
and here I am every last inch of me's yours / yours
forevermore

not to forget the image of london`s district camden from which he name memories of places which is romantic in a way even if if its not referring to a loving person but to london and england...you can love a city too..?!
even he claims to not liking it anymore but i think deep in his heart..he do..of course...you only have to listen to this song to know....

thne the line where he pleads to the loved one to "come back
to Camden / and I'll be good"

to make all the bad things undone and only if the loved one return ..everything will be good...

not to forget the tone in which he sings that song
I ran out of words to describe this song`s "romantic strength" ...and the beauty it exude

I just want to say that Morrissey was extremely courageous in my eyes to sing these beautiful songs of longing. So brave, braver than anyone I know.

It's not heartbreaking, it's incredibly naughty! :D Have you listened to the whole song, carefully? It's about a secret love affair with someone who lives in a relationship but Morrissey asks them to cheat on their partner with him... :horny: Moz my dear, ask me, ask me, ask me! :p

I love the song too, genius.

Eek.
I never gathered that from it. I knew it was about loving someone who's already taken, but I never thought that it was about managing to get this love object to have an affair with Morrissey.

"Come on to my house, come on and do something new..." ;)

"Give a little something, give a little something to my love life..." :horny:

The guy is a genius. I love the things he says and I love even more the things he insinuates...

I'm listening to it now, and I still don't see it.
I've always thought that he wanted this person so much, but they didn't return his affections in quite the same way - perhaps they just liked him as a friend, or not at all. Hence the 'why don't you love two?'.
Another case of unrequited love for our Moz. :(

I think your interpretation of the song is correct, except for the two giveaway verses I quoted. :p I could even go as far as to say it might be about a threesome. With Moz you never know.

"do something new..." that is... :p
"why don't you love two?" at the same time :D

I'm with Franzanna on this one, but your interpretation is intriguing, to say the least.
