oye terence
ampersand after ampersand
uh ??have never heard of this song....
perhaps she means " I'd love to"
uh ??have never heard of this song....
What?! I thought it was written about a story by Dostoevsky. Oh! It just reminded me of it so much I thought that was what it was about.
"Send me the pillow - the one that you dream on. And i'll send you mine"
So THAT'S what he says after those lines! I always wondered. Thank you!
Er. I hope it is.. Not i'm pretty sure..
I listened carefully, and it's right. And it is a very nice line, although Morrissey didn't write it.
Is it from a film or something or a novel?
Another song, a 60s one by someone I can't remember. I think his first name was Sammy. Either that or Johnny.
Send me the pillow that you dream on.
Don't you know that I still care for you?
Send me the pillow that you dream on,
So darling, I can dream on it, too.
A song called "send me the pillow that you dream on" by Hank Locklin.
This wee young fellow also had a hit with the song in the 1960's. Good voice!
let me kiss you , of course
There's a place in the sun
For anyone who has the will to chase one..AND I
I think I've found mine
Yes, I do believe I have found mine
So, close your eyes and think of someone you physically admire
And let me kiss you, let me kiss you
See? It was summun called Johnny I was thinking of after all!
I love My Love Life, too.
'I know you love one person so,
Why can't you love two?' So heartbreaking!
It's not heartbreaking, it's incredibly naughty! Have you listened to the whole song, carefully? It's about a secret love affair with someone who lives in a relationship but Morrissey asks them to cheat on their partner with him... Moz my dear, ask me, ask me, ask me!
I love the song too, genius.
Eek.
I never gathered that from it. I knew it was about loving someone who's already taken, but I never thought that it was about managing to get this love object to have an affair with Morrissey.
"Come on to my house, come on and do something new..."
"Give a little something, give a little something to my love life..."
I'm listening to it now, and I still don't see it.
I've always thought that he wanted this person so much, but they didn't return his affections in quite the same way - perhaps they just liked him as a friend, or not at all. Hence the 'why don't you love two?'.
Another case of unrequited love for our Moz.
I think your interpretation of the song is correct, except for the two giveaway verses I quoted. I could even go as far as to say it might be about a threesome. With Moz you never know.
"do something new..." that is...
"why don't you love two?" at the same time
