The Truth About Alain Whyte...

is that...

1) He's had a nervous breakdown
2) The reason he's had a nervous breakdown is because of the dire financial situation Morrissey has put him in.
3) None of the band have yet to be paid for the current tour
4) Despite being Morrissey's rock for the last ten years and writing the bulk of his music, Alain is not valued by Morrissey.

Those are facts.
My hunches

1) Everybody will think Im making this up and troll me but in the future we'll see this is true
2) He won't come back to the group (which will please Boz who is jealous of Whyte's lion's share of music)

I wish I were making this up but the truth of the matter is that Morrissey treats his musicians with utter contempt.

Bull

shit because Alain is rich after 10 years + with Moz. And Moz respects them you can just tell.

Why don't you stop posting unsubstantiated rumours? You may have been a roadie on the 1991 Kill Uncle Tour who got sacked for stealing Morrissey's Carrott and Corriander sandwich, but that's no reason to remain bitter for life.

So, if Boz is supposedly jealous of Alain's share of the songwriting, wouldn't he have more of a right to feel that he is "not valued by Morrissey?" And why does Alain play lead guitar on virtually every Boz song if Boz were jealous?

Gary Day is Alain's best friend. Consider their partnership in the Motivators, too. I think at this point you could assume he and Alain are a "package deal," ie, if Alain walks, Gary walks.

If Alain has indeed had a nervous breakdown, I'm sure spurious facts and hunches like yours are certainly not speeding him along to recovery!

Cheers,

Jamie

Couldn't agree more. If you're gonna get sacked for stealing a sandwich, at least make sure there's some chicken in it.

It's worth noting that Johnny Marr and Andy Rourke were best friends too. And they haven't spoken in years now, because of the dire financila arrangements of The Smiths' royalties.

But that's another story.

I simply doubt what you say. I don't know whether or not the lads were paid for the tour, but the major bulk of money for them comes in through publishing rights anyway. And even in Morrissey's dodgy financial universe, publishing rights are ruled out by publishing deals. Both Alain and Boz are under seperate publishing deals covering everything they write, may it be for Morrissey or whoever.

It's not like "so you wrote a song for me, great, here's five quid".....
