Morrissey Live on Xfm this week!

Right, so I finally got round to listen to it. (thanks for recording this)
It was a pleasant interview, but is he really planning on avoiding Christmas? Since he plays in Manchester around Christmas, I always thought he'd go home to his mother with all big presents and be happy to be surrounded by the Morirssey family
But avoiding it? How's he going to do that? Get stuck in a basement? It's everywhere!

I understand what Morrissey means.
Christmas isn't as it should be anymore because of the consumerism.
Since late August there're too many adverts and fuss which is very annoying.
I guess since 1970s the most of our quality of life is richer and we no longer need to have Christmas/New Year celebrations.
Christmas lost the real value and become money making opportunity.
If you live in Japan you'd see the most absurd Christmas-majority of people aren't Christians, yet make excuse for spending money without any reason.

I had to bump this old thread because XFM repeated the interview around 1:30pm.
It's good to have a repeat of the interview, but they swapped IJWTSTBH to First of the Gang to Die!!
It's unnecessary and feel betrayed since Morrissey came to promote the single and UK tour.

Incidentally it's a good opprotunity to inform anothrer XFM special.
Some of you already know, tomorrow Sunday 19th XFM will broadcast 2 hour Morrissey special from 11pm:
one hour interview with Ian Camfield and live recoridngs of some festival in summer.
