What is your favorite Morrissey/Smiths track to play when you are mad as hell

"f*** You (An Ode to No One)"
"Tales of a Scorched Earth"

both by the Pumpkins.

i dont think i've ever reached for a Moz cd when i was full on angry. its not "angry" music to me.

Now nugzie, that wasn't the question :p

LOL, yes some NIN works for sure, as does Pumpkins, Nirvana, and Hole -if I owned any-- Korn and Marilyn Manson, maybe--

but my favorite hard rock angry music ever, Rage Against the Machine :guitar:

True, You're gonna need is not an angry song, but one that gets me charged. I work out some mental agression just listening to that song. It has a kind of 'in your face' / 'f*** you' vibe for me.

There is a major nasty vibe when he says "Well you don't need to look so pleased." I always think, "Oh shit, I never want to piss that man off."

*runs askeered*

Nirvana On a Plane is a good one to drive fast too, but not in a mad way, just in a "my-lover-is-useless-f***it-I'm-going-to-the-movies-alone" way. Thank GOD I don't have those days anymore.

Your favorite Moz/Smiffs track to listen to when you are angry. There must be one? :p

I hope you feel better...get some sleep!

Nine Inch Nails - "Head Like a Hole"
Eminem - "Kill You"
Public Enemy - "Fight the Power"
John Cale - "Leaving it up to You" (whoa...)
Sinead O'Connor - "Troy"
John Lennon - "How Do You Sleep?"
Bob Dylan - "Idiot Wind"
Joy Division - "Twenty Four Hours"
Joy Division - "Means to an End" (the live version on Still)
Tori Amos - "Professional Widow"
Nirvana - "Stay Away"
Pixies - "Something Against You"
Anything by Sisters of Mercy
Smashing Pumpkins - "Bodies"
Martha Wainwright - "Bloody Mother f***ing Asshole"

I genuinely loove that song, haha.

Speedway is the first that comes to mind. The 1999 Aylesbury version in particular. That and Unhappy Birthday.

Mutherf***er - Beck
N.W.O. - Ministry
Bullet with Butterfly Wings - Smashing Pumpkins
We Looked Like Giants - Death Cab for Cutie (sounds good loud)
Let's Go (Nothing For Me) - New Order

but Alice in Chains does it best:
We Die Young
Angry Chair
Again
Bleed the Freak
Sea of Sorrow
Sickman
Them Bones
What the Hell Have I?
Man in the Box
Would
I Can't Remember (lyrics->)
Turn around you say
'scuse the tude but I havent eaten today
And my eyes are turning grey
Whats your name?

I cant remember... I cant remember

Bring me down you try
Feel the pain and keep it all in till you die
Without eyes you cannot cry
Whos to blame?

I cant remember... I cant...

Remember identity, the visions in my mind from
Screamin at me
And mama, mama, ooh...my angry brains of infancy

Knocked down but I have enough hate to breathe
Down your throat and steal your energy
You took everything but my will to be
Now the loss of your God wont make me bleed

I am alive

There isn't really a Smiths/Moz track that does anything for me when I'm raging. Moz is the best, however, when I'm feeling sullen and alone.

As for anger -

Rammstein is my favorite metal band. God, it's worth being angry just to scream out the car window "Mein Herz Brennt" (my German's a bit rusty, though :o). :guitar: :guitar: :guitar:

Otep is one lady who really knows how to vent.

Tool are very good seething music.
