Dear Johnny, I go to my parents house sometimes, (when I say parents) I mean my Mum called Carol Stratton and my Step-Dad called Les Stratton! Les Stratton was brought up in South Wales and is also English/Cornish, Hungarian and Jewish. Which is different to me as I AM English, Irish and Scottish!!! and I was brought up in Greater S/W London. I am Andrea Elizabeth Ison(Andy for short). My parents live in Hampton, Middlesex. There is just plane Hampton, Hampton HILL and Hampton COURT all next to each other!! and Hampton WICK is not far!! also ROEhampton,Wandsworth where I was born is a bit further away. My Mum Carol and Les(Step-Dad) live in the bungalow called 'Rivendell' in Hampton(just Hampton, Middx.). My Mum's has lived in the bungalow since the end of 1979 when I was born!! From 1969-1979 my Mum Carol and my REAL Dad John Ison lived on House-boats on the Thames near Hampton and Hampton Court. The Thames goes through Hampton!! Hampton is right on the edge of South/West Greater London in Zone 6!! There is a famous palace at Hampton Court called Hampton Court Palace have you heard of it?? Hampton is in the Richmond upon Thames London Borough, Richmond upon Thames(Surrey) is near, Twickenham(Middx) is near, Teddington(Middx) is near, Heathrow Airpot is not far. Kingston upon Thames(Surrey) is near Hampton Wick(Middx). I live in Surrey the other side of the river to Middlesex but Surrey is very near Hampton!! I live in a town called Sutton in Surrey in Zone 5 of London in a 2 bedroom in a converted Victorian house, flat. I have no internet access in my flat. I go to Internet Cafes and Sutton Liburary. At my parents place in Hampton I go on their computer. Hampton is my childhood home!! 2 weeks I spent on my parents House-boat when I was just born before we all moved into the bungalow and my Grandma Ellen and my Grandad David(my Mum's parents) moved into the bungalow at the same time and the cats and Catriona(Cate) my older sister as well, Becky wasn't born yet. Cate spent the first six years of her life on the House-boat before I was born!! Have you heard of Hampton Court Palace?? Take good care Johnny and God bless you!

Hi Andy,

Just got back from a brilliant fireworks display to mark the end of the Edinburgh Festival.Amazing stuff.

I have heard of Hampton Court Palace but never actually been there.
When I was working in London I lived in Streatham for a time (SW16) before moving back to Cambridge.

I really only know Central London as I was based at Shaftesbury Avenue so I am ok with Covent Garden,Soho,Picadilly etc but anything other than that and I am a bit lost.

Used to spend a lot of time in the National Gallery and the Portrait Gallery and the record shops along Berwick Street.

Spent a lot of time at the Coach And Horses in Soho as well but that's another story

I try not to spend to much time on-line Andy to be honest because it prevents me from doing other things I prefer such as reading,music,writing,guitar etc.

I am not really part of the computer generation so I can survive quite easily without a P.C.

Must have been great to have lived on a house boat. Was it a bit smelly at times

Your flat sounds great ! I love those big Victorian flats in London. This flat I am in is Victorian as well. The back garden was the site of a an air raid shelter.
