Songs That No One Ever Talks About

I Can Have Both, maybe cuz it's a bit crap, but then i don't think Wide To Receive is that hot either. I'm obsessed with Trouble Loves Me atm, so what do i know.

"I can have Both" is a bit crap???

ok you me outside! :D

Found Found Found
(I'm) The End of The Family Line
My Dearest Love
Satan Rejected My Soul
Oh Well, I'll Never Learn
Interlude (people talk about this one a bit more I guess)
I'd Love To
The Edges Are No Longer Parallel (my favourite b-side)
A Song From Under The Floorboards
Mexico

A few of my favourites that aren't the "popular" ones. I still would love to see Sing Your Life or Mute Witness live someday.

i love Get Off The Stage and Journalists Who Lie.

people always bash on those for some reason

So Glad You Love Them Too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You Officially R.O.C.K. :guitar:

My Thoughts in Bold...

Journalists who lie
Stealing the money
Prospering with spite
Hate-In-A-Hurry
Oh, see how :

Such A True Line....I've since gotten "Hate-In-A-Hurry" tattooed on my body. :)

They're only trying to make their name
By spreading Biz myth-lies
About the ones who've made their name
Stick in the knife
Stick in the knife

Stick in the knife, Tell Them....

Journalists who lie
The truth is, it happens
Praise, then crucify
Just follow this pattern
And see how :

I Really think he's saying more than we know Here. :)

They're only trying to make their name
By spreading sickening lies
About the ones who've made their name
Mate, give us the knife
Give us the knife

Journalists who lie
So happy in malice
Rock star - out of line
So happy in malice
Oh ...

Journalists who lie
So sick and belaboured
They only want to be favoured
They only want to be favoured
See how :

They're only trying to make their name
With unprovable lies
About the ones
Who've made their name

I Love This!!!!!!!!!

In the black hole
Of your soul
Still bargaining away the Truth
So easily
Truth

Journalists who lie
Stealing the money
Prospering with spite
And Hate-In-A-Hurry

Journalists who lie
The truth is, it happens
Praise, then crucify
Just follow this pattern

Again, so true....

Journalists who lie
So sick and belaboured
They want to be favoured
They only want to be favoured

This is how to end a song, Folks.....:guitar:

PM Me for more. :)

as far as "Get off The Stage" goes

the misguided troussers and the line about "the verse goes on for a month (or is it like a month) It feels like a long time but its actually a short time" i butchered that paraphrasing...also sounds like zydeco music a little bit.

Good idea for a thread, indeed.

I think it'd be interesting to stick to songs that are really never mentioned (or played live) by even die-hard fans. "Underappreciated" songs tend to get shout outs quite often.

I also nominate Christian Dior as a small gem that came and went without much fanfare and also The Public Image, which I like a lot.

Considering it's a big, melodramatic album closer (that I also think is quite wonderful), You Know I Couldn't Last is pretty much ignored in the discography.

At the time it came out it got a lot of ink, but Ringleader opener I Will See You is rarely ever mentioned anymore. Why not?

some of the songs mentioned above do get their share of attention, and maybe this one does, too, but I'm adding "I Knew I Was Next".

When you've been slapped around then one more slap won't hurt you

and this one gets "love" but not nearly what it deserves.

"Whatever Happens, I Love You"

If You Don't Like Me Don't Look At Me also rules.

J'agree.

Also Maladjusted is such an amazing song. Hearing Wonderful Woman for the first time recently was quite an emotional moment for me as well, I think it's gorgeous. Back to Morrissey's solo stuff- Good Looking Man Around Town. I really like Asian Rut as well. And Late Night, Maudlin Street is breathtakingly beautiful and doesn't receive enough love in my opinion.

It's all about Swallow On My Neck, mother f***ers.

Oi Watch your language, Brett!

"Plates engraved with babies' names while pylones hide/ the suicide"...Beauty...

And, "my dark star"!
And "killing of a fl-

So many...:sweet: sigh.

Good thread, Jilla!
Not sure if you were around but last year we assessed each of the 234 Morrissey/Smiths songs. http://forums.morrissey-solo.com/showthread.php?p=772612 I think an average of around 100 people voted per song so a pretty good sample size. The following list is the bottom set of songs from 201 to 234. These are the songs we like the least. I'm amazed at the inclusion of some of them. The ones I like include: Tony the Pony, There Speaks a True Friend, Cosmic Dancer, He Cried.
