Maladjusted re-release..

Regardless if it was a good or a bad song, it does belong on the album. In this case it wasn't just another bonus track for the rest of the world, it was simply cut from the UK edition for legal reasons.

I always thought it was funny that Ammunition ("No space or time in my life, anymore for revenge") and then five songs later Sorrow Will Come In the End ("Don't ever close your eyes")

I've been waiting years for a readjusted Maladjusted... so I hope they get it right: a nice crisp remix, all the b-sides, Sorrow, and the unreleased tracks. Ideally they should re-work the track-listing which doesn't quite work, and personally I wouldn't complain if Papa, Outsiders and He Cried were snipped out. Alternate versions would be good too, especially Roy's Keen - all the life of the song is squeezed out by the album production when you compare it with the rawer, better live versions... anyway, something like this would be very nice indeed!

Maladjusted
Alma Matters
Trouble Loves Me
Roy's Keen
Wide To Receive
Ammunition
Sorrow Will Come In The End
Satan Rejected My Soul
I Can Have Both
Heir Apparent
The Edges Are No Longer Parallel
Lost
Now I Am A Was
This Is Not Your Country
I'm Not Worth Hitting
Hanratty
I Know Who I Love
Kit

Southpaw Grammer will be added three tracks to original, I expect Maladjusted will get two or three additional tracks.

However, in UK edition Sorrow Will Come In The End won't be inclueded due to legal reasons.

Thanks for that. Actually, if the Maladjusted reissue mirrors the Southpaw one, then it'll be less comprehensive than I would have hoped. Probably the original 10 tracks plus a couple of b-sides and an unreleased track in a brand new order. Something like this would be nice, but I doubt it!

If there are no new tracks, I can't quite see the point of the re-release. As for remastering, I can rarely tell the difference. Whilst I wasn't a big fan of the original artwork, a new cover alone wouldn't be enough to make me put my hand in my pocket.

Other than Ammunition, Roy's Keen and the first half of Papa Jack, I love Maladjusted. I thought it was something of a return to form after Southpaw (which I found easy to admire but difficult to like).

Wide to Receive is one of Morrissey's greatest vocals, Trouble Loves Me is a definitive Morrissey lyric and Satan Rejected My Soul is Morrissey through and through, a masterclass in pop peversity.

I always found it strange that the album cover was so weak when the artwork for Alma Matters was so striking.

maladjusted is one of my favorite solo albums so I can't wait for this..one thing though; was Kit ever actually recorded? On the live version with boz singing it, he says that he isn't sure why they never completed it which to me means its a demo floating around that was never actually finished off as a full fledged recording.

sorry if this has actually been confirmed.

Hanratty, I know how I love.. never heard of these songs. Anyone have a clue of what they sound?

Anyone else hear the airy mic sound in Moz's vox occasionally on Maladjusted? It's like he's singing too quiet, so they turn the gain up on the mic. After certain lines, you can hear a room tone that quickly fades out -- it's like dead air on a radio when an announcer's between sentences. I'll listen to my copy tonight to be sure, but I remember first hearing the cd when it came out and finding those airy room tone bits to be really distracting, it just sounded like poor mixing. Am I nuts?

I love the Maladjusted era. I wish some live soundboards from that tour would surface, apart those two tracks we all have and love...
I always liked the album and singles artwork: they are probably my personal favourites among his releases, bar none.
Another record I really treasure from that period, is the japanese mini CD 'Rare Tracks' with the useless, but funny, obi and, again, a superb artwork.
And I didn't even mention the newly shaped sideburns and the brand new haircut, and those clothes... ahh... Mozza's style doesn't get any better than 1997 :guitar:

No, you are right. The mix and the overall 'sound' of that album are closer to a demo tape than to a proper release. Still, that doesn't detract anything from Maladjusted which, to my ears, is a fantastic work of art.

Some of Morrissey's best songs in the past few years will be on YOR.

As much as I love the last album I find Throwing My Arms, One Day Goodbye and Mama more exciting that the Ringleader material. And that's only 3 songs out of a dozen.

And isn't Trouble Loves Me a good enough reason to exonerate Maladjusted from all the downtalk?
