Getting this straight edge ideology from a laughable and hacky early 90's hip-pop group is rather strange, since Fugazi (another band whom he supposedly loves and respects), shared the same viewpoint and they played no role in his change. It's like saying you are a huge fan of Morrissey but become a vegan because Avril Lavigne is one.
