I hate Philly but I'm going there tomorrow night.

*Pawing a Rosary in thanksgiving!*

I feel that I have, at last, succeeded in rehabilitating this computer -- only now, have I finished reinstalling much of the degraded software. I had to create a new user-account, migrating info from the corrupt one; and repair the registry. Thank God, that I use an SBC/Yahoo Browser because IE was utterly non-functional. This is the only time my pc has been affected thus -- unfortunately, power failure is all-to-frequent in my (red)neck of the woods.

That's what I get for having disabled the System-Restore function in favour of glutting my computer with more music files.

That sounds like a huge headache. I hate IE's browser. I use Mozilla firefox -- never had a single pop-up with it. Good thing you are computer savvy. I would have probably tossed my box out the window in frustration.

I see you had a hassle registering at MM. I think they have a waiting period now. I wonder if that was the problem.
