How to tell when gigs are confirmed??

You know that comment from Moz about hearing it from his lips (re Isle of Wight) well how does that work then? If it were UK dates I would probably wait for an ad in NME or something as we know the official website is worthless. As foreign dates will not be advertised in NME (probably) then how can we tell - I'm thinking of the rumours of Greece, Turkey etc which I know is likely to not happen but if tix do go on sale, well to buy or not to buy? Its the flights obviously thats the problem, not that bothered about the cost of the ticket itself. Providing you could find a flight to Istanbul that doesnt include a 7 hour stop in Milan that is...
Life would be so stress free if one was into Coldplay or Robbie Williams.

think of it this way:

unless you absolutely have to see moz in Istanbul, do you honestly think that this would be the only show that he'll play if he decided to go on tour? what if those other proposed dates came through and he ended up playing in Greece, for example? or what if he played in Italy considering he just recorded an entire album there? he also usually gives the UK a boatload of dates.

besides, even if he did confirm, he's such a flake that he might cancel it anyway. i've had more than one ticket that became no good because he had a tickle in his throat or he had management problems. just make sure that sitting in an airport in Milan for 7 hours is worth it regardless if a show happens.

Just cant wait til spring if there's a chance to see him sooner! I only thought of going really cos I love Greece and its a good excuse for a weekend away then you start thinking well, if I could get cheap flights to this place or that... And why the bloody hell doesnt he pick somewhere easyjet go to?

Re: easyjet

Is Easyjet any better than Ryan Air? Cause last tour, I took a Ryan Air flight, and there were absolutely no springs in my seat, as my ass sunk down to the floor. And I'm only like 155 lbs. I paid like three Euro(which is like $5.50 US) for a dried up egg salad sandwich, and sat next to a Jarvis Cocker look-a-like with a cold, who kept sneezing on me. That was when he wasn't fighting with his wife/girlfriend/whatever. I do realize that Ryan Air is kind of like European version of Southwest Airlines, and Easyjet is another bargain bin carrier, but I at least would love a few springs keeping my ass safely above some womans oddly shaped Samsonite carrier. I guess you get what you pay for with a £17 flight?

i think that must go for all Irish based carriers. My aer lingus flight really sucked. the cabin was stuffy and the seats looked like something out of the early 80's.

and for the record, southwest is better than that and they always have good peanuts.

Easyjet well better than ryanair. Butties probably around same price if you can stomach them looking at all that putrid orange colour everywhere but the seats are comfy enough if you only short.
