I think Mike Pickering used to commentate on TV's "Superstars" (the one with sportsmen competing against each other in a variety of disciplines) and "We are the champions" ( the one where school children competed against each other).

Mike Pickering used to be one of the DJs at the Hacienda back in the late 80s/early 90s. (memories, memories!) Then went on to form M People.

Howard Marks - isn't he that drug smuggler guy? Wrote a book a few years ago - Mr Nice Guy I think it was called.
