60's? Girl Groups?

Anyone here fond of girl groups quite like I am? The Shangri Las are one of my favorite groups of all time, I think they were superior to every other girl group at the time, probably because Shadow Morton wrote most of their music (he's worked with the New York Dolls, The Crystals and some others)

I love them too! They always remind me of how much RuPaul loves them lol... The Ronettes are also cool (and tons of bands use the opening drum hit from this song all the time)

especially the:
Shirelles, Ronnetes, Shangri Las, Supremes & Marvelettes
a newer band, like those in many ways is

The Pippetes
and lastly, I don't believe I would adore

Lykke Li as much as I do, if her music was not so much informed by that 60s girl group style
