What do you think about the new Tricky? I've tried, but beyond the single, haven't been able to get into it. What's your favorite cut?

"Blowback"

I think it's a fabulous album. You don't mind my sticking my nose into the conversation do you Bertrand? Blowback is certainly not nearly as classic as Pre-Millenium Tension, but I think Tricky's done a very good job revisiting the harder, metallic style of Maxinquaye. My fave tracks are "Excess" (a newer take on vintage Tricky!), "Girls," "Your Name," and "Bury the Evidence." The new album has all the style, atmosphere, and aggression you could ask for. I think it's great. In fact, I listen to it so much in the car, I had to buy an extra cd for listening at home. Tricky's music is so amazing. Everyone celebrates Massive Attack's albums, but I think Tricky's are so much better than his old mates'. Sure, Madonna touted Mezzanine, but Morrissey's touted Tricky.

Butting out again,
Cili

My top 5 bands to listen to in a traffic jam:

1: The Beautiful South
2: Morrissey
3: Elvis Costello
4: Ian Dury & The Blockheads
5: The Style Council

It's got to be chilled out music really rather than anything frantic, any punk and we are gonna have a bit of road rage.

Cili,

Your opinion is always welcome! Though I would have to diasgree with you abou "Your Name". Ugh! the worst track on the record. I like "Girls", but Anthony Kiedis has too distinctive of a style so that anything he does sounds like the Chili Peppers.

I think my opinion may be a matter of expectations set too high.
