If you must buy Uncut tomorrow, well, if I were you, I really wouldn't bother.
On the front page they say "Morrissey -review and interview!" and when you look it's a 3/5 review and a tiny side-panel with three or four questions. And as for the CD with a Morrissey track on - they've used The Never-Played Symphonies - what's the bloody point of that? Anyway, rant over, I'll type the review and "interview" up later.

I can't believe Uncut have done that. At the very least I would have expected a track from the new album.

Disappointed by the 3/5 review. Who wrote it Uncleskinny? Simon Goddard?

So disappointed. Was hoping to hear something new from Moz this week.

Thanks for the warning. Do you know if the new ZERO magazine is out yet?

Yeh just read it in the shop opn my lunchbreak

They suggest that the production and Jesse Tobias are good things, Moz's voice is at its best but the reviewer is underwhelmed by the lyrics, which he feels are no better than Maladjusted and Quarry.

One possibly relevant point the reviewer made was that like Oscar Wilde Moz is putting his genius into creating and maintaining his persona and using his talent for songwriting?

Thought the reviewer liked Moz as an icon/ solo artist and respected him for staying true to himself (the fans get an honourable mention... something along the lines of once you fall under his spell it becomes a manageable fascination.... obviously not a visitor to this webiste) but was underwhelmed by ROTT.

I'm sure once the piece is up you can see for yourself!

Have just caught a glimpse of the new Uncut.

Strangely the new Moz album is Album of the Month but only gets 3 out of 5 (that doesn't usually happen).

(Review not written by Simon Goddard.)

Summary says something like "Once again he has put all his talent into creating his persona rather than into creating a truly great album" or something like that, you get the drift...

This is a joke!
I have here several uncut numbers and in all this "Album of the month" get 4 stars. This is really a joke.
