Two interesting youtube links - Kill Uncle tour

Thanks for posting these. I don't think I have ever seen the lads interviewed together before . Shame the wifey who interviews them is so thick.

I was going to say something along the lines of that. Apart from that silly, annoying woman it was pretty cool. I love the soundcheck of Sing Your Life one of my favourite songs, ever.:)

Aye its no' a bad read I really enjoyed it. Have just finished Eddie Turnbull's book that is worth a read too. Just hope this is gonnae be oor season and we finally manage to get our hands on the Holy Grail:)

Had heard about this interview for years -- especially about Spencer sticking his hand right down his jeans to adjust himself, which he does!

They all look great. Even in those early days, Bozman is clearly the captain of the ship. Sad that he's the only one left now...

Thanks for posting it.

The soundcheck footage is great, too. I had only ever seen the Sing Your Life section of it. There's a few seconds of There's A Place at the very end.

Through all these years, I've always been under the impression that Morrissey doesn't like the band (or anyone in his inner circle) talking about things other than the music. When Boz is explaining about the "funny" story he chose to tell, you almost expect Moz to pull a Joe Pesci in Goodfellas. Boz then carefully mentions when the TV interview (with the ditzy woman) will be shown.

Um...haven't you noticed Gary ? He's the one playing bass to the left of the stage.

And I think we willo see Alain back again as Moz has said that no one has replaced Alain and Alain's band has just split up too.

Interesting how Boz says he didnt enjoy making the "sing your life" video because he "was on the junk for a few weeks" or something of that nature..
on a side note.. last year my father took me to see Bill Cosby (who was thoroughly boring and deaf) at the same exact place.. at any rate.. that was the pacific ampitheatre.. it was a little ironic for me atleast.. I think if I would have known morrissey has played there, perhaps I would have analyzed the place a bit more (when I saw Bill Cosby).

Gosh, it was ACE seeing this after god knows how many years. It was on this show called Request Video on ch.56 (KDOC) that was my first Moz gig. That host Gia DeSantis was a dork, poser! The show was cool though.
Thanks for posting it up

has gary day left the band?

Whos got that Dundee gig The Lads are talkin bout???? I want a boot of it now.

'Course I have. I'm a big fan, but as of the end of 2006, Gary is out of the band with a new baby on the way (his second -- confirmed by Boz in the radio interview last week).

It doesn't mean Gary won't be back, and as you said there's a chance Alain will too, but for now Boz is the only original member of the band in the lineup.

Re: The Lads being interviewed in LA back in 1991

thanks

what a moron...horrible horrible interviewer. This is why independent music shows/media should not exist..everything should be left for MTV and Rolling Stone to do. Respectable VJ's

No, but seriously, she was horrible. She was fumbling her way through an interview with the band, imagine if she got a chance to sit down with Morrissey.
