Morrissey and the quiff

Am I right in thinking that Moz has had a quiff (of one form or another) for basically 25 years now?

Not so long ago overheard another Moz fan saying that he had something else for a brief period back end of the 90s - found this very hard to believe and wondered if someone could clear it up one way or the other.

The quiff is of course the only haircut there is...

In 1997 when Maladjusted was released Morrissey didn't have a quiff.

You can see it Alma Matter promo video and TV appearances (eg UK Channel 5 Jack Doherty Show etc) of that period.

If you scroll down this thread, you also find other previous threads of quiff.

Thanks Kewpie - as a newcomer I'm obviously a little in the dark as to what has been on previous threads. Appreciate the reply.

What's the other name for a quiff? Someone mentioned it once, I can't remember.

it's almost like a Caesar cut.

My dad, a former greaser, has called similiar hair styles something like Duck Butt.

I prefer quiff. Sounds more distinguished.

Pompadour?

In Japan a quiff is called Regent.

Apperently youngsters with quiff hang around Regent Street, but not sure it's true or not.

These are all good, but it was something else.

The DA refers to the bit round the back!

So: Quiff on top, DA round the back!
Something for the weekend sir?
