I'm wondering too. It's really amazing what he could achieve in such a brief period of time. He really was an innovator, and all his recordings aged very well. 'True Love Ways' is magnificent

Totally agreed. I remember the first time I listened to one of his greatest hits compilations and had an aha! moment when I realized just how influential he was on young John Lennon.
