Who here is into Bright Eyes?
I recently started listening to them and Conor Oberst's voice is wonderful.
I recommend everyone to listen to them and tell me what you think

I've been listening to Bright Eyes for a while now. not everyone likes Conor's voice, but I do. I wasnt a big fan of his last album though. "Lifted" is my fav, and I like his acoustic album.

I used to listen to them all the time, but not so much anymore. If it weren't for Fevers And Mirrors, I don't know how I would have made it past 16. It was pre-Moz for me.

He is as honest and clever as Moz.

Thought the latest was a bit over-produced in parts, but it's forgiven because it contained the line:

I rate Bright Eyes highly, he generally comes up with 3 or 4 gems per album. The Calendar Hung Itself is one of my favourite ever songs. Full Stop.

Oh man, Bright Eyes. I went through big phase in highschool. I never was one of those rabid omigawd-Conor-save-me type fans, but I listened to him quite a bit. Actually, I can still enjoy Letting Off The Happiness, Fevers and Mirrors, and Lifted. I think some of his later stuff's been kinda milquetoast compared to what he used to do, but I guess everyone's gotta grow up at some point.

Damn, this is making me want to dig through my backpack full of shitty scratched CDs. I really want to hear "The Center of the World" now.

apparently Lou was a surprise guest at one of Bright Eyes' shows in NYC. well, a surprise to the crowd, not Conor. I would've PEED!!!

I'm into Bright Eyes for sure. If I had to pick one favorite artist/band, it would neither be The Smiths nor Morrissey solo, it would be Bright Eyes. : )

It's funny - I just got home, and I was listening to "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" for the 10,000th time on the drive. I hadn't listened to him for a while, and I was thinking that Conor Oberst really is right up there with John Lennon and Morrissey as one of my favorite singer/lyricists ever.

Last time I saw him live, and they started playing "Old Soul Song" I just went nuts - that song means so much to me.

Oh yeah, he's cute, too.

My friends are obsessed with Bright Eyes.
I really tried to give him a chance not only for my friends sake, but also because I know he's gifted, but the trying is getting my nowhere..

They are also obsessed with Bayside.

I can't tell the difference.

Though, I think Conor's latest album(s) haven't been up to letting/fevers/lifted standard. For example, neither I'm wide awake nor cassadaga are that good. They are pretty good, but still, I guess I miss the old Bright Eyes. : ( well. : )
