The BIG news is here and we're so excited to finally share it with you. We will be playing some very select live shows later this year in the following cities/venues:

29 November - Belfast, Northern Ireland (Ulster Sports Club)
1 December - Cork, Ireland (The Pavilion)

The gigs will feature my band of all-stars most of you already know and love:

Craig Gannon - guitars
Gary Day - bass
Spencer Cobrin - drums
Gustavo Manzur, Jr. - keyboards

We'll be playing sets filled will songs we've all been involved in (either written, co-written and/or played on) as well as a surprise or two each night which you won't want to miss.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (25 August at 10am GMT) via AlainWhyteMusic.com/tour & Eventbrite.ie

More info will follow, so please stay tuned. We really can't wait to play for you all!

Nice interview. If what Gannon saying is anything to go by Alain is serious about launching a solo career. If that is the case he is better off finding a singer, a female version of Stephen Sanchez would be perfect, renaming the band and going for it, because the new songs sound fantastic and legitimately have potential.

Could ya throw up a clip of Without Music?
Gotta hear that one.
I wasn’t able to get any good footage of it, but there’s a good chance they’ll play it again. If not Friday, then probably Saturday.

The double bass takes the song to new levels and it should have had it in there before, imo. It’s genius and I’m going to do my best to capture it and will share it 😊

Is there a clip of Glamorous Glue floating around anywhere?

Not sure if it’s out there anywhere but I’ve got it from the first night of I recall. In fact I recorded each song individually from that warm up gig. Will see what I can find 😊

Can you get Alain to rejoin the band and you become Moz’s manager pls?

It's interesting how some people here and on Twitter position themselves as specialists in drumming skills and vocal performances. Spencer's style is direct and without the grandiose flourishes that Buckley, the esoteric mercenary, is currently celebrating. Spencer's input on the Kill Uncle Tour and in the Your Arsenal, Southpaw and Maladjusted phase cannot be over-appreciated. Without him, these records/live shows would not be so embedded in the collective memory of those old enough to remember. Part of the gang that gave Morrisssey a second solo life.

Alain does his best and intones as close to the master as he can on Lost, Tomorrow or Playboys. His own tracks are ace and speak more to me than most of the main man's latter-day material. It's Morrissey's own fault, that Alain is no longer in his band. The disastrous tour manager and his inappropriate tone have simply not reached the highest regions of the ivory tower.

I'd go see this band if they came in the Boston area. Sounds really good so far as I can tell.

Buckley is more mechanical whereas Spencer is more emotion.

They genuinely love playing these songs and it shows.

It's also nice to see Craig fitting in so well. I didn't think he was particularly well-suited for lead guitar during the early Solo days but he's fantastic as a second fiddle -- both as a Smith and in Alain's band.
