I like this thread. It's even better than the BBC minute-by-minute football updates on a Saturday afternoon. All hail Caroline Cheese.

Royal Albert Hall gig is on!!

I was meant to go tonight, had ticket, but I had to give it up due to other commitments. Kind of glad that he's back on his feet, but I think he should call it quits on the massive tours and just record and release material. That would be enough for me.

Travelling from Birmingham to the Brixton show on the 29th...

From Victoria coach station, you need to head to the tube station, which is about five minutes walk away. You need to walk down Buckingham Palace Road (you'll pass Belgravia rd running across - if not, you're heading the other way). You should see where the tube station is - you should be able...

FAO: Nice people buying Birmingham tickets today

What a nice chap. You could always set up lots of fake accounts and keep buying it, just to annoy him. That's just an idea, of course I would never condone such an action. I'm just whistling in the wind. As people have said, I feel 2009 will be much worse than it is now, economy wise, so I...

Tour not sold out yet: credit crunch, lack of publicity or...?

The only gig I can see where touts will make any real money is the Manchester 50th. Even then, the crunch might be much worse come May.

Shame you didn't keep it on, with the reference to the eternal flame and all that.

    Liverpool Empire

You may, and the reason is pure curiosity. I imagine it was tickled by the flag in your avatar, with the Beatles lyric.

Beast, are you one of the guys that had that 'There's is a light that never goes out' on a red LFC flag? During the Tormentors tour at Liverpool?

I like the look of that. Was the gig busy last time?

    Orange pre-sale

Do you actually put a deposit down for the reservations? Say 10% of the actual ticket price? I'm curious to know how this works.

    Troxy?

By the late 1930s, these makeshift movie-houses with grand names had given way to modern, purpose-built cinemas – and they were huge. The Whitechapel Rivoli seated 2268, the Mile End Odeon 2304. But the king of them all was the Commercial Road Troxy, with an amazing 3250 seats. As film-goer John...

General advice for buying tickets to UK Morrissey shows

Having said that, the birthday bash will be like gold dust when they eventually sell out.

General advice for buying tickets to UK Morrissey shows

When a gig 'sells out', such as in this case, all it means that the agency (seetickets / ticketmaster) has sold their allocation of tickets. It's rare for a promoter to assign every single block of tickets, as staggering allocation helps drives demand. Edit: Just continue checking this site /...

Royal Albert Hall - May 11th?

Is the Albert Hall all-seating? What was the lay of the land for 2002?
