Some are fighting the good fight in the comments sections, but at the end of the day the demonization is perpetuated and his name is (forever?) smeared.

Agree - there's no way he's coming back from this, in terms of the broader public perception. Even if he came out now and "apologised" (which he won't, it's not his style), I don't think most people who now despise him would believe him.

So he's left with a (still perfectly decent) following of devoted followers, as well as some more casual fans who simply don't care about Twitter / woke culture, etc. And in a way, perhaps, that's part of what made the recent UK / Ireland shows so special?
