Just read about a new 'trainspotting' dvd release and thought you might like to know about it.
It's coming out soon and is uncut AND has nine previously-deleted scenes included.
I think the ten-years-on sequel, 'porno', is going to be filmed as well.
They're trying to get Ewan Mcgregor, Robert Carlyle and the others together again. The director ,Danny Boyle, was recently quoted as saying that they now look way too healthy to realistically portray the characters.
Looks like they'll have to do some preperation, like depriving themselves of their great lifestyle for a few months.

hey patrick, thanks for the heads up. i will have to add that to my birthday wishlist. i still need to get porno. i'm waiting for softcover -- more economical, plus i hate hardcover books. i'm really excited at the prospect of a trainspotting sequel being filmed. they need to get the old cast back or it will suck. i will disown it. besides, i'm sure it can't be too hard for a makeup artist and costumer to make a couple of robust scotsmen look a little worse for the wear. (i mean, they did make gwyneth paltrow look like she was 350 lbs and elijah wood look like a midget -- wait a minute. the elijah wood thing wasn't a special effect.)

LOL That's a thought. Maybe we should migrate over there and post how we love Morrissey or at least post the lyrics to all his songs.

We've had "Andy overkill" here, so "Moz overkill" there should at least get the message across.
