sorry for the trivial question, but i am absolutely desperate.
would gcse grade a, b or whatever be the same as an a-level?

No. You generally do GCSEs to earn the right to go to a sixth form/college where you can then study for A-Levels. GCSEs are a far lower level, academically speaking.

GCSEs replaced O levels. O = Ordinary A = Advanced

thanks a lot. this job dscription says something like gsce grade c in english and maths required. i am not in the uk, so we don't have that here. but i guess i should be so lucky to meet the requirements BIG TIME.
