Cloning Morrissey?

There's a rumour flying around that a renegade junior researcher is trying to find Morrissey's DNA samples so that he could secretly offer it to his research group to clone Morrissey. Should this be allowed? Not sure if a Morrissey 2001 would really work. Afterall, he just might get into rap music and bust some stupid rhymes. Oh, the horror!
