Guest
I'm looking for young LA-based fans to interview about their love of Morrissey and the Smiths for a short film which will be broadcast on Britain's Channel 4 later this year.

I'm particularly interested in talking to Latino fans aged between 16 and 35 who have either bedrooms covered with Morrissey and The Smiths memorabilia or large Morrissey or Smiths tattoos.

We will be filming in LA next Saturday (September1st) and at The Sweet and Tender Hooligans gig that evening in Santa Monica.

If you would be interested in talking to us yourself or know someone who you think we should interview please e mail me at the above address or leave me a message on 01144 207 440 5767.

Please leave a telephone number where you can be contacted next Tuesday daytime (August 28th).

I look forward to hearing from you.

Lisa,

Wouldn't this be a better piece to do when there is actual Moz activity going on (album, tour)?

Seems like a wasted effort, and an insult to Moz to focus on some cover band.

I think its a great idea, album or not. This may boost interest enough for a deal to be signed.

Hey its a new film about morrissey, i say good luck to you lisa and channel 4.

Ps. Email david (the site owner) and im sure he will put the details in the morrissey solo news section where it will get a lot more exposure.

Bull@#!!!...I NEVER post here in the general discussion area because of all the crap and immature idiots that post here.

The only reason I have posted a few things here today is that I am at work and there is really not much to do on a Friday afternoon, so I have been looking at the site and commenting on things I find interesting to cure my boredom.

You should learn proper grammar first off...and know what you are talking about second.

Get out of here! You are a dolt!

Hey asswipe with a megatron dildo...

"I'm looking for a moron based producer of british television (telly...) who would like to participate in a cool hybrid of carry On and Benny Hill with a tinge of Horatio Hornblower to boot.

You yanks love English. We gave you two fat ladies, Jamie Oliver and someone called ms. Edna. Oh laugh it up, we need latin and asian Americans to do this film. If you know kung fu or know how to slasa, even better.

I am a ditzy spastic english monkey and want only Moogissy fans. I work for BBC Daft Amerikka and want some input on this filmy I am doing. Sweet or salted popcorn? Sparkling water or uncarbonated"

Shuddap and take your half baked Channel four idea and cram it up your proper ass you stuffy ipso bitch!!! You go girl!

Hi Tom - my intention isn't to insult Moz or to concentrate on "some cover band" - simply to make a film about the fans in their own right. This is a short film for British television but I'm sure someone will make a much longer film about Morrissey and The Smiths very soon and at a time that's right.

Lisa,

If you are going to do a doc on Moz fans, thats fine...but why bother wasting film on a sub par cover band? That will be an insult to Moz and I think their inclusion will lesson the quality of whatever it is you are trying to do.

I think you're missing the point. It doesn't say anywhere they will be focusing on SATH. It just says they will be there. If you're looking for Moz fans, who else would be at a SATH gig than the most rabid fans?

Sounds wonderful to me.

Oh really?

You should have no problem with this task. The Latino fans have basically cornered the Morrissey market.

Don't eat before attending this show.

I honestly think this is a sociological experiment.
