Anyone like R.E.M.?

yes please do Perv, as a matter of urgency or many people will be upset with you.

Out of Time is a good starting block but not my favourite - perhaps some more well oiled fans would be able to advise your "reference point" (hey I think I just did a clever REM quote there!)

I like them a lot. Sometimes, when I'm listening to Loosing my Religion, I'm thinking: wow, that's just too beautiful to be true!
Let Me In, on the other hand, is the song that is so painful, I can't listen to it till this day.

No.

Their shite.

andy, it is really disappointing that you don't appreciate such a sensational band, but at the same time i am forgiving...

p.s. i think that was probably supposed to be "they're" (not their). just wanted to apply a gentle correction, because if MJP got a hold of you first for that one, he would be much more brutal (giving you a crack on the head at the very least) and non-forgiving....:p

Bugger. nd I'm usually so particular on my speling and gramer :D :D :D

Thanks for forgiving me, nonetheless.
I still find it difficult to enjoy any music, other than The Smiths or Moz.
Stupid I know, but I just struggle with anything else. Although having said that, I heard a Keane song on the radio some months ago, really really liked it, so I got the album. And now I'm quite fond of them (sorry, I know that's bad.....)

And also, stems back a bit from the old days, but I like Everything But The Girl.

But I still feel terribly guilty for listening to anyone other than the love of my life.

Do notice however, that these 2 other er, bands, are both big Smiths and Moz fans. So perhaps that ok for me to 'like' them.......???????

You know that saying about when in a hole......?

Anyway, a big THANK YOU to Sister for the d/loads. What a star.

f***. There goes another friend. That lasted longer than usual mind......

:)

I wouldn't rule out listening to a bit of REM,
but I'd always go straight back to dear old blighty.

I know what you mean but it's good to have groups like REM to fall back on every now and then.

It's all part of being obsessed I guess.

I might give REM a try then.

I like some of the older stuff. Is the 'newer' stuff better?
