What an intriguing question. I would want to call Johnny Marr and suggest the creative partnership be reborn. But that might f*&k with Mr. Morrissey's life too much (when he returned the next day to reclaim it), so I'd probably just buy a Jaguar and lord it around Manchester for a day. Oh, and...
Man, that was like guitar porn! I'm a little woozy now. But thanks, dotthewatusi. I didn't realise Johnny has a '59 Les Paul - those are worth tens of thousands of dollars these days. It would be indelicate to wonder how a then-young guitarist in an indie band could afford all these vintage...

Re: Promo page for YoR on Lost Highway site
Holy crap - that is amazing. I love Jeff Beck.
Anybody remember that crazy rumour awhile ago that Moz, Jeff Beck & Chrissie Hynde were seen jamming in the lobby of a California hotel?! Maybe it wasn't so crazy after all. [SORRY, I WROTE THIS...
Thanks very much for telling us about this, Peter. I'm listening to Johnny's lovely voice now [swoon]. Having naughty thoughts about a married man, shame on me... :o
Do you think Moz was influenced by the old folk song, covered by Ramblin' Jack Elliott and many others, "I Never Will Marry"?
I never will marry
I'll be no man's wife
I intend to stay single
For the rest of my life
One day as I wandered
Down by the seashore
The wind it did whistle...
Very, very good - thanks so much for posting these, Fran.
Would someone more technically-minded among us tell me about the amp set-up this young lass has: there's what looks to be a small Marshall practice amp, and then another small amp on top of that (can't make out the brand), and then on...
Oh dear. I'm afraid the transition wasn't *quite* so smooth. Hence, The Troubles (not a rock band), Bloody Sunday (not just a U2 song) and so forth.
However, let's all hope the future will be better. Let's focus on babies and butterflies and Christmas cheer :D
See I don't understand how that works! Would you mind explaining more, if you feel comfortable with that - like what makes you unhappy, when you have a great husband and you've been hugged (twice) by Johnny Marr?
I suffer from depression as well, but I figure if I was in a good relationship...
Yes, I saw the intriguing (and slightly creepy, it must be said) "Red Hand of Ulster" which would represent t'other side as it were.
I know that Steven isn't wildly political, but he is the son of Irish immigrants and raised in the Catholic faith - he may well have an opinion.
Yes, i should have mentioned that - the Ireland flags were definitely in the Catholic areas.
And now for something completely different: remember when there was a discussion about the "odd" way Moz is holding said baby Sebastien on the album cover photo? I was idly watching the Catherine...
Maybe it's a mild political statement, who knows? When I was in Belfast and Derry last May, there were quite a few Ireland tri-colour flags a-flyin', as if to say "It's all Ireland."
Many thanks to Peter and Mrs. Peter.
Whoah, that photo of Lou Reed is a bit scary. I think he must have been the inspiration for Rocky Horror's Frank N. Furter with his white face make-up and frizzy black hair.
Johnny mentioning going to a Slaughter & the Dogs gig made me look them up in...
