Howard Stern - "Who's Morrissey?"
Posted on Thu, Apr 29 1999

The mention during the original radio show was brought up a while ago I believe but here are details from the tv show, from Amanda:

...as seen on last night's <<April 27-2:30 am>>HOWARD STERN (?) tv show:

The show was revolving around whether or not Howard's associate producer K.C. was gay. He was totally denying that he was gay, to which Robin Quivers asks, "Are you asexual?"

And K.C. asks,"You mean like Morrissey?"

After this comment, both Robin and Howard respond, "Who's Morrissey?"

Shortly after, Howard makes K.C. take a polygraph asking him stupid questions like, "Have you ever gotten aroused while in the shower with other males?" "Have you ever had sexual dreams involving other males?"

That's all.

i heard the original broadcast and miss Amanda is
a bit off. howard commented that his intern KC may be asexual in which he responded "whats that? you mean like morrissey!?". howard responded "well i dont know about morrissey" then robin asked "whos morrissey?". the shows producer, gary (bababoey for fans of the show), said "hes some singer" then they moved on. he agreed to take a lie detector test a few days later. when the results came back, the conductor of the test said KC may be bisexual!

Well, hmmmm. I saw the episode in question and Robin did NOT say 'Who's Morrissey?". She asked, "The singer?" They all knew him. Talk about not paying attention...

Is it wrong of me to habitually fantasize about Howard interviewing Moz? I don't know. But I am absolutely positive of the fact that Howard is the brightest, most consistently satisfying comedian working today. If he could only legitamize his act and rid himself of the porn stars and strippers...but that would take away three quarters of his audience. Britain may have (most of) the best bands ever, but we kill them when it comes to comedy....i.e. Hicks, Stern, Pryor, Lawrence, Carlin...Abfab and the Python alum don't hold a candle to our stand-up ranks. Although, I must say mad props to Rowan.

Haaahaaaheee! Howard sucks ass. Besides, I hate it when a celebrity even mentions Moz in passing, this site sucks it up like jello thru a straw! Stern so damn ugly...shoo. I need a drink...

Although some may not find Howards type of comedy entertaining (although I personally admire the man and find him extremely entertaining), few people can match his honesty and irreverance for the uneducated or humorless. Given the common denominator of honesty, I would think that Howard would appeal to a Moz fan; Moz, like Howard, looks beyond what societal norms may confine him from saying or singing. These are two people whom i admire very much, and hope others do too.
