It also boasts an interesting photo of Ms Young on Morrissey's shoulders: 'So there I am,' she says of the photo session, 'literally heaving with desire and suddenly his head is between my thighs. We'd certainly never been that close before.'

Thought this was interesting...on the Adam Carolla radio show yesterday, co-host Danny Bonaduce (yes, the trainwreck from the Partridge Family) quickly slipped into an anecdote about hanging out at a bar in Rome with Fiona Apple and Morrissey The story was very short and he insinuated that he was checking out Fiona and that Morrissey was checking him out (yea, right)...

I don't doubt the validity of the story but what really puzzles me is why Mozzer was hanging out with Danny Bonaduce.

I read in the Daily Mail today (boo hiss!) that a lesbian won £120,000 after her workmates played 'All the lazy dykes' to her every time she entered the room!

I think they need to re-listen to the lyrics.

The Irish Times Magazine today (Saturday 10th) highlights a Tony Visconti Special Interview on Dave Fanning’s evening radio show “Drivetime with Dave” , RTE R1, which goes on air this Monday (March 12) at 7pm.

The promo text reads: “Brooklyn boy Tony Visconti, one of the most influential producers in the annals of rock – his back catalogue includes David Bowie, Thin Lizzy, The Boomtown Rats, The Stranglers, Morrissey and U2 – is Dave Fanning’s special guest this week.”

The photograph promoting this broadcast is the familiar one of Visconti draped around Morrissey (Tony Visconti site, click on November 2005 News), and you can find details of the show / tune in.

The Smiths are one of several iconic bands mentioned in a new dance/electronica single being released in April.

The track is called 'Thou Shalt Always Kill' and is by the decidedly non-snappily monikered Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip.

The song is like a kind of modern, pop-culture based list of commandments(Thou Shalt Not Watch Hollyoaks, Thou Shalt Not Pimp Thy Ride etc), and there's a section in the middle where he starts going "The Beatles were just a band, The Beach Boys were just a band, The Sex Pistols were just a band, THE SMITHS were just a band, Nirvana were just a band...."etc.

Given this and Mark Ronson's heavily praised version of 'Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before', April seems to be quite a month for Morrissey and electronics to mix!!

First Johnny forms a group with Bernard Sumner. Now another former Smith, Andy Rourke will be joining to form a band with another former New Order member, Peter Hook.

The new band also consists of musicians from The Charlatans', Stone Roses, and Primal Scream.

To be honest it would mean a great deal to me as the songs I've written and will be released over the next few short years have been utterly inspired by my respect for Moz and his music also for my love of literature in the Anglo-Irish mould (Wilde, Yeats and Kavanagh).

Therefore, if people like you approve I feel I've achieved something that the upcoming chart rat-race will never match - as music today is sparse and so untrue. This would mean great deal to me. At present, only 'Batman' is up -a live recording of a song I wrote about a teenage boy who unlike his comic book hero feels his personal life is a flop and longs to have a bat-cave like home to shut out the echoes of relationship failures!

It's a simple punk theme inspired by the New York Dolls and a band I loved in Dublin called 'The Nudes'
