winter warmth

How warm do you keep your home in winter?

We want to save on bills, but can't decide on how many hours to have the heating on during the day when some people are at home.
What setting do you use eg 19' C - 21' C?

Would you put the heating on -

If it's 5' C (41 F) outside or
If it's 10' C (50 F) outside or
If it's 15' C (59 F) outside

If we are cold, we put the heating on and then turn it off again when we are warm. Thinking outside the box, but it works for us.

I usually masterbate, this makes my body warm for a while and means I don't have to have the heating on:straightface:

Thanks for the useful suggestions, but..

we can't turn the heating off and on without great difficulty (trust me on this). So we need a general setting that will suit, considering old and young alike.

I was wondering what temperature others feel is warm enough....in what is said to be the coldest winter for ten years.
