What is the essence of this program? I just caught it for the first time on BBC America.

I thought it was interesting when everyone was singing to Billy Idol's "White Wedding" in the beginning. I thought that was a clever intro to a program.

But later there was more singing, the entire cast.

Just wondering what the storyline of this show is. Does the cast change weekly? Or is it an ongoing "serial" style program?

I thought the city of Blackpool, what was shown of it anyway, the waterfront and pier, was interesting. Is this "the town they forgot to bomb?"

You just had to see it from the beginning. There were six episodes, and it was a mystery, romance, musical ("karokeish")amalgamation that seemed somehow to work. Three songs were featured each week, and "Boy With the Thorn in His Side" was on the third week.

I think the "comedy" was the major part of the whole thing and David Morrissey of course, a fine fine actor from this local area.

You'll have to catch it in it's entirety.
