COPE. Moz would've thrown himself in front of the camera for this if asked.

This documentary about the reunion of his favourite band of all time, that he helped bring together, and some obscure 90s show on British girl singers are pretty much the only things of this type he's ever contributed to.
And in both you can tell that he didn't exactly "throw himself in front of the camera", because he's obviously uncomfortable and probably hated the result.

Quite so. And considering he hated "The Importance of Being Morrissey" for, í think, a variety of reasons, but chief among these seemed to be his view that all the filmmaker's footage made him look a horrid shade of green...?! Should've gone to Specsavers 🧐

And considering Edgar Wrong has had experience with problem cancellations {Ansel Elgort & Kevin Spacey...on the same movie!} surely he could have handled Moz...?

Every time he expresses discomfort with the way he looks on screen my heart breaks a little. It's such a recurring theme in Autobiography and I wonder if that's the root cause* of the lack of officially released concert films, properly curated/remastered video collections and documentaries.

Must be tough being so gorgeous and not be able to appreciate it.

*(There's probably technical or legal reasons for it though, because, as we know, it's all about the money. 💸🤑)

Kieran Turner, the director of Jobriath A.D., was met with a wall of silence when trying to interview Morrissey for that documentary (see YouTube video, just after the 9 minute mark). I adore Sparks, and Morrissey’s contribution to The Sparks Brothers would have been a real coup for Edgar Wright, but Morrissey seems to shun such things. Sadly it seems that Ron & Russell, like so many others, have cancelled Morrissey of late – another reason, perhaps, why Morrissey isn’t featured. Or maybe the backers just thought that Morrissey is just too toxic a brand?

A lot of younger people I’ve spoken to all know Sparks because of Morrissey, much like New York Dolls.

His omission says tons; there‘s an undeniable link between them. Lighten Up Morrissey? Or... Wake Up Sparks?
