Suede – Barriers

As fate would have it, after roughly a 10 years absence for both, on the same day we got Bowie's new song (very honorable, imo), & Suede's Barriers (not mentioned on this forum so far, I believe).

To my ears "Where are we now ?" is very very piano-driven semi-ballad vintage Suede, while barriers should have been sung by in a forceful Bowie voice...
& "Where are we now ?" should have made a wonderful Bowie / Brett duet.

I'm impressed. I loved the first three Suede albums but Head Music was mostly horrible and I lost interest. The spell was broken.

But this is making me interested all over again.
