Can anyone here suggest a good camera - SLR-like - I am tired of all of the imperfections of compact digitals, and don't like the bulk of SLR's. It must have little to no shutter lag (that is very important) and do a good job at capturing motion.

Thank you, Mozmal. I've tried photography other than concerts and cannot do it at all. Shooting when there is an actual light source is beyond what I know. I'll keep trying though.
