Pavement’s Cautionary Tales: Jukebox Classiques is an awesome collection of all their singles, EPs and B-sides. 56 tracks in total.

“Cautionary Tales: Jukebox Classiques is a limited-edition box set featuring Pavement’s complete catalog of 7” singles released 1989-1999. It will include 18 records total, covering music originally released on Treble Kicker, Drag City, Matador, Big Cat, and Domino. All faithfully reproduced with original artwork, plus a 24-page threaded saddle-sewn booklet and full discographical history.”


Now here’s the cool bit! On iTunes it costs £55.44. On Matador Records’ website it costs just £7.99 for the MP3s and £9.99 for WAV/FLAC.

For those unfamiliar with playing music you want to download from sources other than iTunes:

Go to the App Store and download VLC Media Player. It’s 100% free and works perfectly.

Another useful app is Evertag: Music Tag Editor. This app allows you to edit artist, album, track info and add/remove coverart.

When you download music files they’ll be accessible in Files on your iPhone. Simply tap the .zip file to unzip and then move the folder to the VLC app by holding your finger on the folder then select Move. Tap Back (top left of screen) until you see VLC. Tap VLC then select Move (top right of screen). Go back to your home screen and open VLC. You should see your album. Enjoy!
