Another sucker, I suppose!

Verso, you're not that dimwitted. Establishment figures don't spend years trailing around minor venues because their pr is fooling people.

And before you say he could sell his music himself - that takes more social skills than getting yourself punted onto a record company's side list.

Quest Artist Management are gonna find out soon enough that they’ve taken on the most dangerous person on this planet!

now that’s the Bond song that can never be bettered.

VIVA VERONICA !!!

agree ket that ohmss is the best of them all but bond 77 gives it a right good run for its money.viva roger the dodger.

The most-hated man in showbiz? Still, it's all good publicity. No artist ever gets 'un-cancelled', so I reckon Moz should just dig in and revel in the infamy now. Go down swinging.

Why do you speak with such authority on subjects you clearly know nothing about? Any mainstream musician (of which Morrissey is one, don't kid yourself) with a career that spans decades will hit slumps wherein their work no longer resonates with the general public. Neil Young has been through it, Bob Dylan has been through it. For the ones with enough talent and stamina to push through, it's merely a temporary affliction. Morrissey had enough of both to emerge from the post-Maladjusted doldrums with Quarry and the comeback it provided -- at least for a little while.

The point (you know, that nagging little thing that you always seem to miss) is that stars sell the avatar, not the person. The contrivance that is Morrissey's aesthetic asks the more gullible among his audience to believe that he's an underdog and an outsider, that the industry and all its machinations are actively working against him. There are still some who actually believe that he sits alone by a rain-dappled window drinking tea in some melancholy portrait.

This is the lie he sells while playing Wembley Arena and residencies in Vegas. Spare us.

Verso, you're selling yourself a lie. That isn't how someone creates & markets a persona. f*** knows what state your career's in.

If he's mainstream, why is this site so sparsely populated with fans?

You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about, which is so obvious at this point that it’s pointless to state. Stick to Scottish theater or whatever your area of “expertise” might be, cause it sure as shit isn’t the music industry.

But even Morrissey Central, in Messages From Morrissey, I'll click like on it sometimes, and notice I'm the only one. Doesn't strike me as mainstream.

Maybe Madonna's manager will bring more followers of Instagram, Central, and solo.

Their model isn't vastly different & we share venues.

He is absolutely on the margins - runs through managers & contracts - & has never created a consistent solo image so that some people think he's still the same as he was in the Smiths & some people think he became a larger lout in the 90s & some people think he's always been a crooner. He gets billed as a British legend in the USA & the UK gets told he's successful in America. His copy is generic, his interviews haphazard to catastrophic, his artwork is unpolished & his social should be burned.

Stop responding, I really don’t care. You’ve never been honest and I can’t imagine that changing anytime soon.
