I have a friend whose son has been going through the testing/bloodwork for four years now. He's been poked, prodded, allergy-tested, x-rayed, MRId, etc. (by numerous experts and specialists...they even tried alternative means of treatment for him) and no one can pinpoint why his body does what it does when he eats certain things. There's no disease/disorder for what he has and the docs can't figure out what causes his issues, but he gets ill the second he eats gluten, dairy and/or soy. He's so tiny and it's been difficult on the whole family as they've gone through the trials. They're hoping he grows out of it, but his list of foods is very short. This kind of thing definitely happens. I feel for your buddy. It's nothing fun.
