Morrissey A-Z: "Late Night, Maudlin Street"

The ability of some Smiths fans to read way too much into Moz's every utterance never fails to amaze and amuse me. Still, if yer getting paid to write it.... ;)

It's just a beautiful song. Who cares to dissect why? Butterflies look more beautiful when they're still flying, versus nailed to a board by some amateur lepiamaripeliehwhatti...whatever c***s who examine insects are called. :)

but in a way Morrissey wants to be dissected ...

‘You can pin and mount me, like a butterfly ‘

;)

A masterpiece, nothing more to say.

I listen to this, compare it to pure drivel like "People are the Same Everywhere" and I just can't believe it's the same person.
Morrissey's most powerful work comes from absolute emotional turmoil.

The Secret of Music is powerful but seems to come from pleasure.
