Manchester City Football Club name-checked in “OUT” magazine

“OUT” magazine published in Belgium and noted for its proactive stance on gay rights has listed the Manchester City Football Club as “one of the most progressive sports organizations in the UK and Europe”. OUT Magazine regularly promotes and endorses "those business entities, organizations or individuals that encourage an atmosphere of tolerance through community outreach, professional agenda or personal example”.
The Manchester City FC was chosen for the article based on its “growing reputation as a lifestyle-tolerant sports organization both internally and externally”.
In addition, both Nicholas Anelka (France) and Gerard Wiekens (Netherlands) were singled out for their noteworthy activism in their respective home countries.

OUT Magazine has previously name-checked UK entertainers George Michael and Graham Norton as noteworthy pro-gay/transgender rights activists.
