Uk tour dates, as just emailed to me by Ents24:

• Tue 17 Jun Manchester
• Wed 18 Jun Manchester
• Thu 19 Jun Manchester
• Fri 20 Jun Manchester
• Wed 16 Jul Edinburgh
• Thu 17 Jul London

No word as to when they go on sale, but I notice that on Ticketmaster, there's a Dublin gig listed, with tix on sale this Friday (14th). Priced at €88.50 - €115.00. Yikes!

I've been looking forward to seeing these go up and was delighted that there's four dates in Manchester, though I am slightly apprehensive about the ticket price: considering the Canada pre-sale listed on the site, and also the Dublin gig that The Cat's Mother has pointed out I think I'm going to have to live on beans and toast all next term if I want to buy a ticket!!

HOW MUCH?!?! C.O.A.B, I knew he was hard-up (ripped off by management), but this is asking a bit too much. I just asked Mrs. Skinny if she would like to go to one of the Manchester dates, but at that price?

Peter

would love to go but at those FXXXXXX prices not a chance

before i could even CONSIDER that cost, any irish solo ers rate the kilmainham hospital as a venue?
and is a cohen concert very very special???

is a Cohen concert very very special???

The concert is only special in that he hasn't toured since 1993.

I have never been to one but from videos I have seen, they aren't "special" unless you like Leonard Cohen, and then as with Morrissey, they are special because you are in his presence.

I've just told my Dad he's playing in Edinburgh- he's very excited about it:). It's odd the other day he said that he wish he could see him but most likely wont. :) I hope the tickets don't cost too much.

Mr Coen is skint because his former evil manager stole all his money and the court failed to recover his loss. :(
This world tour is the last chance for him to earn money because he'll be 74 in September.
Jarvis wanted him to take part in his Meltodown line-up last year, but Mr Coen turned it down because he's retired from playing live.

Maybe in near future Meltdown organizers will ask him to curate the festival.

London tickets are on sale Friday 9am, prices £50 to £75.

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm not interested in going to O2 Arena.
I'd rather travel to Manchester, but not sure about it yet.

What kind of venues are these, if anyone knows? Are they Morrisseyesque, or rather large?

O2 Arena (originally it was Millenium Dome) is one of the largest indoor venues in UK.
Manchester Opera House is the smallest of three, Morrissey played in 2006.
Edinburgh Castle is fairly large outdoor venue I suppose.

05-Jul-08 Copenhagen, Denmark - Rosenborg Castle

i've got my tickets, front row. it's right in the middle of roskilde festival though -.-
