Do You Think Morrissey Should Dye His Hair?

the only time I've ever really noticed his hair colour looking weird was in the 'Zane Lowe' interview he did for MTV ahead of 'Years of Refusal's release.

It was this weird, chestnut brown colour, very modern-day-McCartney and it looked pretty bad.

Other than that blip I think he's aged a lot more gracefully than his peers. Never had a nip or tuck, never had his teeth capped, etc. He also suits the grey hair.

It was also flat there too. Weird.

I don't mind the grey, but he's had something done because on this past tour there was no bald spot.

Mccartney's mullet is gross.

Sorry to burst your bubble but in America geezer means old man.

Well, duh. What do you think I meant by my statement?

Let me spell it out (!) for you: I typed the word 'geezer' into Google, and it told me that in North America, the word is used to denote a cranky old man.

Which is clearly just wrong, since the proper - English - meaning of the word is far from that.

Just because it is different from the English meaning doesn't make it wrong. Get off your high horse.

If he dyes it, do you think the collar and cuffs should match?

That's not a horse! He's perched on a giant, horrific case of piles.
No wonder he's so full of pointless bile. :(

I don't have any opinion on that as the appeal of Morrissey's physique is a bit lost on me tbh... And anyway, what matters is Damon's opinion, as he's the specialist here. :)

If he dyed his hair (which, I hope, he would never do), he'd have to dye his chest hair as well.

Picture him having his chest hairs dyed and try not to laugh.

Well it is actually an English word, not an American word. You don't have to be an old man to be a geezer. I don't think he was saying the American use of the word is incorrect.

Morrissey Needs A Toupee!

How can Morrissey dye his hair when he is losing his hair!? On the recent tour looks like he needs a beaver hat paddle hairpiece toupee more than dying his hair! Not much of a pompadour there anymore is there!? Sucks getting old and fat losing ones hair doensn't it. What a hypocrite, making fun of fat people and meat eaters when he has tasted and sucked more man meat tube steaks than anyone would ever care to know!

I work in a retirement home. I have seen the aging process first-hand. I regret to tell everyone on here this, but 1.) your hair will thin as you age and 2.) it will lose its color. Ladies, it goes for you, too.

I also regret to inform you that things go downhill quickly after 55-60. Moz is not in for a joyride over the next few. :( In the meantime, I'll continue adoring his ever-changing, ever-aging mind, voice and body.

Let receding hairs dye...er...lie.

I've often found that those who are outwardly homophobic actually have homosexual urging themselves. Come out of the closet, dude.

Nah, I think the encroaching silver suits him. It's not like 55 is especially early to go grey either.

Agree with this. There were loads of us thinking he was going to go bald on the Boxers tour. All we had in those days was word of mouth and the NME. I think he suits grey very well.

Exactly. We're all going to get older unless we die first, and Morrissey looks great. Thank goodness he hasn't gone the Madonna route.

Re: Morrissey Needs A Toupee!

There's no question his hair is thinner than it was when he was 30 but that goes for anyone.

His hairline has always had that extreme widow's peak and it was accentuated in the Maladjusted era with the short cut but I'm sure if he pulled his hair back and exposed his hairline circa 2004 it would be the same. I don't think he had implants but obviously I could be wrong. My point is with a short haircut and his hairline looks can be deceptive especially since with the quiff the hair sits above and covers the end of the hairline that is fully exposed with short hair.

I have a widow's peak myself and with too short of a haircut it almost looks like a receding hairline. But I ain't going bald!

I don't think he would suit the crazy pomp quiff these days but just keep his current style, dye it, and grow the awesome sideburns.

I mean you guys are right he looks good anyway so who really cares but I tend to be nostalgic.
