Did Moz want this to happen?

I very much doubt it. I myself do not wish to go to work tomorrow however I am not hoping to get a bottle lobbed at me through the window.

Morrissey abandons show after been smacked on head by crowd missile

Morrissey had every right to walk off after this incident. Some points: 1) He has been ill on this tour and collapsed on stage. As such he has the right to expect people not to throw bottles at him. A little consideration would not go amiss. 2) It is rather rude and lowbrow to throw...

Morrissey DISAPPROVES solo singles 1988-1995 vinyl box sets & 3CD set release (TTY)

Re: Morrissey DISAPPROVES solo singles 1988-1995 vinyl box sets release (TTY) Morrissey has clearly lost all sense of objectivity and self-awareness. He seems to think that people should only buy those releases from which he recieves royalties. Unfortunately that means his below-par post 1994...

    New album cover

It is for one thing very cheesy. Like when politicians kiss babies during election campaigns. Also it evokes a sense of parenthood which is at odds with the spirit of carefree rock music. The best solo-Morrissey cover pic was that for 'Vauxhall & I' which looked cool and dignified.

Its not a case of him being embarassed. Emphasising middle-agedness could put off younger record buyers.

    New album cover

I don't have a problem with him using younger pics. Why should he be compelled to emphasise his age?

    New album cover

Album covers are a vital part of the appeal of a record. Imagine if Bowie's 'Aladdin Sane' had come in a plain brown sleeve instead of the iconic picture.

    New album cover

I disagree. The Smiths album covers were inventive because they did something different from the usual picture of the artist type covers. It is not the fact that he is middle-aged but the fact that he is pictured with a child that is off-putting. It is cheesy and mawkish and likely to appeal...

    New album cover

The only decent Joy Division album cover was 'Closer'. The rest looked cheap.

    New album cover

Completely untrue! The choice of images for the Smiths singles were always fascinating and some of the album designs, especially 'Meat is Murder', were iconic. Certainly they would not put potential buyers off the record. However I very much doubt that many younger record buyers will want a pic...

    New album cover

If this really is the cover of 'Years of Refusal' then it really is his worst so far, which is saying a lot considering how below par the Southpaw Grammar & Maladjusted cover art was. Who the hell wants to see him holding some toddler? Whatever happened to the inventive artwork of the...
