New York, NY - United Palace (Oct. 25, 2023) post-show

It seems many of us agree. His voice sounds immense, especially during the final section.

New York, NY - United Palace (Oct. 25, 2023) post-show

Yes, it’s a great song; one of my favourites from the album. It would’ve made a much better single than Jacky’s Only Happy… or the awful Spent the Day in Bed. Perhaps Home is a Question Mark would’ve also been a preferable single choice. I do think that My Love, I’d Do…. & All the Young...

    Fox5NY: Morrissey, Exclusive Performance & Interview (October 20, 2023)

I really like the song & this is a strong performance but those backing vocals on the chorus are awful.

Well said. We need more people like you joining this site.

SER YT: Half A Person - crowd singing @ Dublin (July 15, 2023)

Erm…why is this video seemingly compiled of random other bits of footage rather than the actual footage of the song being performed? It doesn’t work at all.

    Liverpool - Empire Theatre (July 18, 2023) post-show

It seems like he had a lot of those shirts in ‘91, as one of those shirts I got a bit of from the November Chicago show was the same.

    Dublin - Vicar Street (July 15, 2023) post-show

I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before on here but I have parts of both of his shirts from his gig at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago in 1991 - including the shirt he’s wearing on the cover of the You’re The One For Me, Fatty single - and the frothing gang of people who leapt on me as I caught that...

    Binyamina-Giv'at Ada - Zappa Amphi Shuni (July 2, 2023) post-show

Hate to say it but I agree. It might be the most boring & insubstantial thing he has ever produced. Utterly bland & with lyrics that are so….nothing….that there is no point in them ever having been written.

Morrissey Central "‘BONFIRE OF TEENAGERS’ IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS" (June 14, 2023)

I like this possible solution - as I disliked the production on Rebels…so much that I’ve never returned to it since the first listen - but I can imagine Morrissey not wanting to be forced to return to the material. Artists generally look forwards to their next work, not wanting to attempt to...

Morrissey Central "‘BONFIRE OF TEENAGERS’ IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS" (June 14, 2023)

Surely they listened to the album before signing a contract to release it. This has nothing to do with the quality of the material.

Morrissey Central "‘BONFIRE OF TEENAGERS’ IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS" (June 14, 2023)

What makes you think he was drunk? This reads like a very well thought out & intelligent piece of writing to me. He has a right to continue to speak about this. Or would you prefer that he just shut up like a good boy?

Morrissey Central "‘BONFIRE OF TEENAGERS’ IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS" (June 14, 2023)

Why should he ‘get over it’? He wrote & recorded an album & signed a contract with a major label to release said album. If I were Morrissey, I’d be angry that my work had been stolen & buried, my voice silenced, too.

    Best lyrics post 2000

I was going to share this lyric. In fact, I’d have chosen the entire lyric. Morrissey writes a lot of good lines in many songs but not many like Teenage Dad… where not a word is wasted.

Morrissey Central "New Recording." (February 20, 2023)

I wish. I love those songs & would love it if the Canadian live studio session he recorded of them with Tony Visconti - along with Scandinavia - were released as an E.P.

    Paris - Salle Pleyel (March 9, 2023) post-show

Personally, I was thinking how much I’d have loved to have been at these concerts. For me, his recent set-lists have been his strongest in many years; he’s been playing a number of my all-time favourite songs of his. Having said that, there will always be a few that I’d gladly swap… Jack the...

    Paris - Salle Pleyel (March 8, 2023) post-show

Well, I, for one, have had Without Music, The World Dies going ‘round & ‘round in my head all day. I love the guitar part, & the overall sound of it really takes me back to classic Moz of ‘91. The chorus is indeed catchy as f***, & the melody of the verses has been firmly lodged in my memory...

    Paris - Salle Pleyel (March 8, 2023) post-show

Another instantly singable, memorable tune with a funky little swagger to it. If these two new tracks are any indication of how good the rest of the album is, I’ll be extremely disappointed if it doesn’t get released as soon as humanly possible.

    Paris - Salle Pleyel (March 8, 2023) post-show

Of all the new songs he has debuted from the 2 unreleased albums, this one hit me immediately & I really like it; I’m already repeating the guitar line & chorus in my head. Is it an Alain co-write? It sounds more his style than Jesse’s, to me. Can’t wait to hear some more new tracks if they’re...
