Reading, PA - Sovereign Performing Arts Center (Jan. 18, 2013) post-show

Not being a huge fan of Moz's current band, I was pleasantly surprised by tonight being the best Moz concert I've attended (about 20 now since 1997). Sound was fantastic (excellent job sound man/woman, thanks for not cranking Jesse in the mix!), band was tight for being sick, Moz sounded great...

    Waterbury, CT - Palace Theater (Oct. 6, 2012) post-show

Agreed, and exactly why I won't spend my money to see him anymore. Moz has still got it vocally, but his ear for what is acceptable musicianship is unacceptable. Half-heartedly learning the proper parts to tunes, solo or Smiths material (particularly from Jesse), and it's obvious it's nothing...

"Throwing out his own fans – has Morrissey finally lost it?" - The Guardian Music Blog

I for one cannot wait for Moz's eventual post via Julia on True to You regarding all this. Should be quite entertaining as the man has obviously lost it (and not just b/c of the David T thing, the searching concert goers for meat, lack of record label, etc.).

'f*** morrissey-solo.com' t-shirt worn by Morrissey and band in Bradford

For being such a wordsmith, the man is pretty thick when it comes to matters related to business, PR, fans, etc. This is a new low for him. The fact that he wore that shirt has likely brought a lot of traffic to the site. Thanks, Moz.

    Inverness, Scotland - Ironworks (June 17, 2011) post-show

Agreed. That was fairly rough there, particularly the tone. Marr is pretty tough to duplicate but there are tons of guitarists out there that can nail it. Heck, I know three or four that are no more than bedroom players these days that can.

    Best Morrissey Bassist?

As a bass player of 20 some years, my vote hands down goes to Rourke. Any of the others have butchered his bass lines when Moz does Smiths tunes. They may have a very root portion of the bass line down, but they all miss the flurry of ghost notes, harmonics, double stops, etc. that Rourke...

"Asleep" cover by Emily Browning on "Sucker Punch" soundtrack - stream

I thought it was pretty mediocre. Nothing horribly exciting and seems heartless compared to the original IMO

ROTT the most difficult album to sing along to?

I had trouble singing along because a majority of it is tuneless!

is set list to blame for tour going stale?

I honestly don't know if I am going to go see him on the US leg if the set list doesn't change. A couple of the ROTT songs make me cringe as it is. I don't think I can sit through the majority of the album live. This will be the first Moz tour that I will not attend a gig on in over a dozen...

    Where is...

...The Andy Rourke section of the forums so Andy Ison can post infinitely in solitude?! :p Just kidding.... people like her caused me to stop visiting the old forum months ago. I am looking forward to having real conversations again. (I was a long time poster under the name Mr. Roboto back...
