Morrissey Central "FRIDAY 26 JULY" (April 13, 2024)

For what it's worth (and apologies if already mentioned), Your Arsenal was released on July 27, 1992. Could the "special event concerts" be a full run through of this album, seeing that most of the material on Beethoven Was Deaf was from it?

Morrissey Central "FRIDAY 26 JULY" (April 13, 2024)

Ridiculous to use a photo from ~14 years later and add terrible font. Great live album, though. Wish I hadn't stupidly passed up on the chance the buy the original LP around 1999 for $10. I was travelling light and didn't want to be bothered carrying it around.

Wish he was touring in my area

    Very strange post.

Ringleader of the Tormentors won Best Art Vinyl in 2006

I've actually never been too keen on the Ringleader cover. But this photo on the inside gatefold is amazing, and I think it could be been a good choice for the cover.

Morrissey Central "PESTANA PALACE" (February 27, 2024)

Most here think Morrissey's nephew Sam does the actual posting over there.

“Interlude” reissue confirmed for April's RSD, 2024 (February 15, 2024)

There is a Morrissey-only version, right? I think I preferred that one. Imagine this: as an encore, Morrissey comes out with just acoustic guitar and piano accompaniment and sings "Interlude" before launching into a full-on rocker to close the show.

What's *the most* Morrissey lyric, in your view?

Along this way Outside the prison gates I love the romance of crime And I wonder : Does anybody feel the same way I do? And is evil just something you are Or something you do

What now? A frank and open deep conversation

+ Auckland, NZ and 4-5 dates in Asia. And the whole South American tour (postponed, then ultimately cancelled).

What now? A frank and open deep conversation

There hasn't been much interest in releasing his new music for 2+ years, and I don't see that magically changing unless Morrissey makes some concessions to a bigger label, or self-releases. The touring troubles late last year and this year certainly can't help the situation. My guess is we are...

Both Quarry anniversary events cancelled (January 25, 2024)

    Wow. Stunned but not stunned.

The Smiths added to Trump rally music (January 23, 2024)

Morrissey will probably want to ride the wave of cheap publicity and suggest the song be re-released as a single.

    Fiona Dodwell: “Truth-Tellers Silenced” (December 29, 2023)

Are you suggesting that her pieces are positive? Every one of them is a rehash of the same old nonsense.

    Fiona Dodwell: “Truth-Tellers Silenced” (December 29, 2023)

Shame. I thought she had been cut from the payroll.

What will happen after the South America tour 2024?

My guess will be more of the same - shorter tours, perhaps with more residencies. And probably no new releases unless he is finally willing to bend on his stance that he is due a 1980s/1990s-style big-time recording contract that doesn't even exist anymore, especially for an artist of his age...
