Morrissey Central "FRIDAY 26 JULY" (April 13, 2024)

Sadly that was my first thought. But please let's resist and not make things more infantile. There's enough going on with all this already. Yes LHW may be inspired - we'll see.

Morrissey Central "DANA GILLESPIE VINYL" (April 9, 2024)

Spot on Mimi, totally concur with all you say.

Fretsore Records / YouTube: Dana Gillespie - Spent The Day In Bed (Official video)

Fantastic love it! Especially now with the great video. It's more what I'd wished M had created for his original release - something like him commuting to work just another face in a crowd. On a stuffed tube train or amongst the crowd shuffling across Waterloo bridge. That imagery done to death...

Morrissey Central "AND WHEN YOU’RE DANCING AND LAUGHING AND FINALLY LIVING…" (March 29, 2024)

Went to see a show here - a tribute band too. Maybe not everyone's favourite thing for all of the reasons said, but for me it's great to be able to celebrate a long dormant or split band and see some great - or at least enthusiastic reproduction of your fave songs. Yes it's a bonus if they look...

Modern Drummer Podcast Ep.5: Brendan Buckley - Morrissey mentions (March 29, 2024)

Watched the Shakira pop-up show in Times Square and thought how well Brendan fitted in with everything. Felt weird after getting so used to him with Moz. Like seeing an ex with someone else. Is that strange? I still haven't had my first tea of the day...

Alain Whyte and band mini Ireland tour (August 21, 2023)

Much that I love the current band the news that Alain & Gustavo are back in, with any or all of the others Alain's been connecting with would be just fantastic. Thinking about how M may be after resting up maybe this would be a great way of kicking things off again?

    Strange/unexpected Moz references?

David probably plays Smiths/Moz on repeat.

Morrissey Central "PESTANA PALACE" (February 27, 2024)

I like Dneuer's Octo-Moz theory, it has to explain this latest hiccup. The loose crowd of unofficial helpers may be trying their best but this sort of lightning knee-jerk reaction is a shame. If only someone had paused for a moment. He looks great in that photo shoot and that snippet of...

Morrissey is now being managed by Pete Galli of Red Light Management (February 12, 2024)

See SM's post above. Central doesn't seem to run like that. It does look like M's bio must have just appeared on their list of artists. Maybe a fanfare was avoided just in case it jinxed things. The speculation on here does seem to be positive so maybe not required.

UK Rock'N'Roll Magazine issue 238: Boz Boorer interview (February 19, 2024)

Great read FWD thanks! Big mine of information there. Weird he met up with Andy & Mike with Sinead O'Connor that time. I wonder who the "awful" band was?

Tell us about the last film you watched, pt 2

I seem to remember being a bit disappointed with the bit in Autobiography when M seemed to just avoid going into detail on PP. I'd wondered if he didn't want to go into the uncertainty of his backing production team/band at the time. Your background info on this groundbreaking doc helps explain...

“Interlude” reissue confirmed for April's RSD, 2024 (February 15, 2024)

FFS how did I ever replace the heavenly Yvette Mimieux in my mind with Roddy McDowell or some other Ape character? WTF is wrong with me?!!!

“Interlude” reissue confirmed for April's RSD, 2024 (February 15, 2024)

Do you remember the scene in a cave somewhere - where history had been recorded onto small discs that you had to manually spin on a flat surface? Just like CDs, except without needing the player.
