Morrissey Central "New Recording." (February 20, 2023)

Ah - I misread the above message. Apologies. Must be a different songwriter? Although, would be very on-brand for Morrissey in 2023 to have a typo in an important press release...

Morrissey Central "New Recording." (February 20, 2023)

A quick Google search says Mark James was indeed the songwriter for Elvis Presley's 'Suspicious Minds'. So it will be a cover

Fiona Dodwell: "A Rebel Without Promo" (January 5, 2023)

This whole saga needs no more analysis than just applying Occam's razor. What's more likely? That there's a cabal of "industry insiders"(?) dedicating time and effort to sabotage Morrissey's umpteenth release in the past decade? Or that Morrissey, a man with a history of falling out with...

Morrissey Central "MORRISSEY HUNG" (November 25, 2022)

There's a strange conflict (almost a sort of cognitive dissonance) between the likes of SER, Dodwell et al believing that Morrissey is world adored, at the peak of his powers, remains centerstage, better than ever etc etc etc - while also believing that any, even accidental, mention of him...

Morrissey Central "Presale UK Tickets." (June 20, 2022)

No mention of the Killarney gig on any ticket site yet - very strange.

Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie) covers Everyday Is Like Sunday on his livestream and includes a disclaimer about Moz's "recent politics"

What a coward. Can't even bring himself to mention musicians who have done actual physical and/or sexual harm to children (the obvious ones like Jackson and Lennon even being dead!)- but gives a long disclaimer on Moz because he doesn't share his politics.

The Times review by Will Hodgkinson - IANADOAC (3 of 5 stars)

Behind a pay wall - but states: "his best in years, but nasty with it" https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/morrissey-i-am-not-a-dog-on-a-chain-review-his-best-in-years-but-nasty-with-it-jxxqc9q3d

"Bobby, Don't You Think They Know?" release (Jan. 10, 2020); album sleeve revealed?

I've used a VPN (set it to Australia) and have listened to it twice in full. My quick initial thoughts: It's very long for a single (nearly 6 mins in total) so wouldn't be surprised if this actually isn't the 'official' first single I like the song, really powerful in parts and the duet is...

Low In High School: What do you think of it?

Listened to it in full. Agree with what alot of reviews say. First five tracks sound great and are really promising - but it absolutely loses the plot after that. I Bury The Living is bad - and it never really recovers after that. Israel is a decent finish at least.

'I Wish You Lonely' next single...? Update - Official Lyric video posted

Not sure has it been pointed out earlier, and I could definitely be overthinking this, BUT: Now that we're approaching Remembrance Day and 'Poppy season', will stations be hesitant to play a song that refers to solders as 'fools' who died for nothing? Just a thought.

"Low In High School" review by Stephen Troussé in Uncut (5/10, Dec. 2017)

Its often noted that this site must be the only fan site in the world, where more members actually hate the subject rather than like it - and I think that's very true. However, I think some people are being very quick to dismiss this (shocking) review. I've no doubt that his UKIP comments will...

I love All The Young People...

I'm actually quite happy with most of the new songs but All The Young People is dire. After two listens I'd nearly put it in The Kids A Looker category. Exactly what I didn't want the album to be like. "Presidents come, and presidents go. And nobody remembers their name two weeks after...

Morrissey on BBC 6 Music Live 2017 (Oct. 2, 2017, Maida Vale, London) - reminder / reports

Seems like Morrissey's comment was in support for Anne Marie Waters. Irish-born UKIP leadership candidate who lost. She ran on an anti-Islam campaign. (anti-Jihad, anti-sharia etc)
